    1. Multidisciplinary team of experts in content, child psychology, community work, adult learning, project management, development communication and information design;
    2. Understanding of & Working on Development programmes: Team has members who have over 3 decades of experience of working for education, training & capacity building in a number of development sectors including formal education, energy conservation, community development, rural entrepreneurship and rural development, working for youth, etc.
    3. Deep understanding of India’s socio-cultural melieu and work context. And and appreciation of how systems, agencies, institutes and communities operate and function in India;Development Communication: a not so common expertise: Due to the fineness of content creation and appropriate design development, ITOWE has been approached by many of its clients and partners to develop educational material for the projects, but also some of their institutional / PR/ brand material too, like coffee table books, innovative communication material such as videos, digital games, posters, handbooks, etc.
    4. *Policy Research and impacts assessment research: Carrying out 360 degree analysis of programs, initiatives and projects; researching capability potential of existing work force; recommendatory material to enhance quality and impact of projects in the future, etc. Government agencies have commissioned ITOWE to conduct serious ground-level research in education, carry out the assessment *and prepare analytical reports, project impact reports, training modules courses.

ITOWE’s guiding force

Shri Yogendra Kumar Trivedi

Yogendra, an administrator by training, retired as the Registrar, Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, Government of India. With Masters in Applied Mathematics, he began his career as a banker. As he pursued Masters in Business Administration, he moved on to join one of the most prestigious scientific and research organisations of the country—PRL, Ahmedabad, as an administrator. At PRL, he reached the apex of the administrative cadre and retired as the Registrar. Post his retirement he led administration in organizations of repute such as CEE and Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Yogendra brings with him decades of experience in Administration, Personnel Management, Organisational Behaviour and Leadership Development.

Ms. Kiran Sethi

Kiran specialises in formal education; teacher-training; creative and innovative teaching-learning; English language teaching; school management and leadership. Kiran retired as the Director, Academics of the Lalji Mehrotra Lions School, a higher secondary school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.

Kiran has been a passionate educator and counsellor, and brings with her over 4 decades of experience; in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Indian education system; of the formal education process and the progressive and effective strategies to enable learning.

Shri Gopal Kumar Jain

Trained as an agricultural scientist from BHU, Gopal also specialises in Business & Finance Administration. He began his career as an environmental educator at Centre for Environment Education and worked across the South Asian region till 2010. He then moved on to several international NGOs such as Oxfam India, CASA India and the United Sisters’ Front.  He is currently leading Fund Raising and Resource Mobilisation at the Indian Institute of Human Settlements, Bangalore.

Gopal brings with him over 25 years of experience in the social development sector; intensive knowledge and strategies in fund raining & resource mobilisation; and in international and bi-lateral cooperation for sustainable development.

Shri Gaurang Vyas

Gaurang is currently serving as an IT Consultant with a company in Ahmedabad. With specialisation in Computer Sciences; Electronics and Communication; and Software Development, Gaurang brings with him over 25 years of experience of the IT sector; and using technology for development. He is an enthusiast educator as well; he guided and mentored his two daughters who had wished to be home-schooled, and who are currently pursuing their higher education.

Gaurang brings with him the sharp and extensive experience of utilising the power of IT for enhancing the reach and quality of education and development work.

Dr. T. S. Joshi

With a doctorate in Education (assessment in formal education), Tuljashankar is a professional with vast and extensive experience of administering formal education. He began his career as a school teacher and went on to lead formal education (school) in the state of Gujarat. He formally retired as the Director of Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training. He is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor at Children’s University, Government of Gujarat.

Tuljashankar brings with him a varied levels of experience in formal education—from being in the field to that of leading GCERT, the think tank of school education in Gujarat.

With 30 years of experience in the development sector, my areas of specialisation include on-the-job training, course creation, content creation, instructional design, material development, programme impacts assessment, institutional development, systems creation, and assessment of learning. Globally, in more than 20 countries, I have trained over 5000 on-the-job professionals; 8000 pre-service teachers; have written/presented over 15 papers/articles and have published 8 books and manuals related to on-the-job learning & training, education and environmental education. Worked on assignments for agencies such as Sida, UNDP, UNICEF, UNESCO, Commonwealth of Learning, American India Foundation Trust, NIOS, Government of India; NCTE, Government of India, etc.

With 29 years of experience in education and sustainable development, Mr. Parthesh Pandya leads ITOWE Development Foundation, specializing in educational innovation and community engagement. Mr. Pandya joined ITOWE as Chief Executive Officer in July 2018, bringing extensive expertise from his previous role as Programme Director at Centre for Environment Education (CEE) Ahmedabad, where he served for 16 years. His career foundation was built through key positions at Gujarat Council for Educational Research and Training (GCERT), Gandhinagar and Regional Community Science Centre, Rajkot. His expertise encompasses early childhood learning and primary education, curriculum development and teacher training, education for sustainability, and community organization and participation. These specialized areas reflect his comprehensive approach to transforming educational systems through innovative methodologies and stakeholder engagement. Mr. Pandya’s contributions to education have been recognized through prestigious awards, including the National ‘Ma-Baba’ Award in 2014 for his significant contribution to Nayee Taleem and the State-level “Guru Gaurav Award” in 2016. These honors acknowledge his dedication to advancing educational practices and his impact on learning communities. His global perspective has been shaped through work across more than twelve countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Mongolia, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. This international experience provides valuable insights into diverse educational systems and cross-cultural learning approaches that inform his leadership at ITOWE Development Foundation.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education, Mr. Pandya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Education. His academic background combines scientific rigor with pedagogical expertise, enabling him to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical educational applications.
